The project group Guardian, started in October 2016, is developing a satellite control system, a fault injection and the connection to a simulation. Within the simulation Kerbal Space Program a satellite is intended to accomplish a by our team freely selected mission. With support of the fault injection, different impacts to the hardware supposed to be simulated, like aging, radiation or component failure. The satellite control system is getting realized on ZedBoards from Xilinx, made of micro processor and FPGA parts.

Alongside an introduction to our project goals and our mission we will show an initial, model based prototype. The presentation will be held in German.
Following the completion of our proposal, our website got redesigned to fit our new project name and logo.
At the newly added page System Architecture we’ll show the main parts of our project and their interactions. Each of these parts will be developed by a subgroup of our team independently.
Today our the proposal of our project has been finished and sent to our supervisors. With this step our first phase, porject planning and preperation, is completed. Continuing our work, we’ll dive into our subprojects beginning next year. The next project target is the presentation of a prototype on 4th of April next year. The presentation will be open to the public, time and location will be announced in time.
